How To Get Up On A Wakeboard

Wakeboarding Is Fun But Can You Get Up On A Wakeboard?

Wakeboarding is taking the world by storm. It is an extreme sport but is getting very popular. Wakeboarding is riding on the surface of the water on a wakeboard while being towed by a boat. The skills required are a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing.

Before you even try it, the important part is getting up on a wakeboard. There are many ways of getting on a wakeboard but I am taking the liberty of explaining two of the easiest ways.

The first way getting onto a wakeboard is with the it floating face up while you float behind the board. Now put your heels on it but make sure that the board stays afloat and is in front of you. When the boat starts towing you, your body weight will drive you forward and down making the board stay under you.

The second method of getting onto the wakeboard is by holding the board to your feet out in front with one hand and holding the rope with the other. Once the rope tightens, you can leave the board as the water will end up pushing it against your feet.

While you are wakeboarding, remember to hold the rope with both hands while keeping one foot on the tail and the other in the middle to maintain your balance. You have to position your feet on before your take off otherwise you will not be able to do so once you are wakeboarding.

Once you learn to master the way to get onto your wakeboard, you will definitely enjoy the experience that everyone is talking about.
